Nihan has completed her LL.B. from the University of Ottawa and a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C.  She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2007.

 Nihan’s international legal experience includes working at the United States Commodities Futures Trading Commission, the Department of Justice, Canada, and the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington, D.C. 

 Prior to pursuing her legal career, Nihan graduated with a B.A. (Hons.) in Law from Carleton University in Ottawa, and thereafter worked within the Department of Regulatory Affairs at a major international pharmaceutical company in Toronto. 

 Nihan is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and American Bar Association.

Nihan is fluent in both English and Turkish.
