André Merizzi is a registered Canadian Patent Agent.  He has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a broad range of technologies including wireless communications, software and business methods, physics, opto-electronics, solid-state lighting, as well as mechanical devices and industrial processing and control systems. André advises clients on patent strategy and portfolio development, and works closely with them to ensure that their patent portfolios support their business objectives. André also advises foreign associates in the prosecution of Canadian Patent Applications, with a particular emphasis on computer and business related inventions.

 

André's experience in the fields of scientific research consists of research in electromagnetism, ultra-short pulse laser optics, and semiconductor optics.  He has worked as a Geophysicist for an international aerial survey company and as a part-time physics professor for the University of Ottawa. 

 

André is fully bilingual, offering worldwide clients representation in French or English.  He is a member of Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) – Information Technology Committee.
